mandala "Anthon"

mandala

For this mandala, pictures from books have been used. The mother looked for nice and clear symbols she wanted to use. She has the following to say about the drawing:
The adopted child comes from Papua New Guinea where the bird of paradise, which is represented in the centre, lives. For the parents, this bird symbolizes “our bird of paradise”.
The stilt houses symbolize the child’s origins, they appear in the village in which the child was born.
The seafood stands for “source of live”, the shield for “strength and confidence”, the palm trees for “flexibility and protection”.
